Using the vivid metaphor of the instructor as an expedition guide\\u2014simultaneously content expert, group dynamist, and logistical anticipator\\u2014the article presents a structured approach to identifying emotional bottlenecks, crafting targeted interventions, and cultivating a classroom climate where struggle is normalized as part of professional identity formation. Illustrated with examples from technical disciplines and transferable to any high-stakes learning environment, the guide emphasizes the integration of emotional scaffolding as a core component of pedagogical content knowledge.
